In-House 9 Ball Handicap Series 2024 Details

Details of the series

The In-house 9 ball handicap series held at the Rack N Roll will return with seven events plus the grand finals in 2024.

This series of tournaments is only open to league players’ current and former, as well local players only (not an open event). Entry fee will be £20 for each tournament (money added to grand finals from each entry fee). The dates for each event will be confirmed as we go.

The handicap system used will be -3 to 5 system. Each player will be given a handicap of -3 to 5 in the race to 7. The handicaps are subject to change between each tournament. Any handicap changes will be announced after the tournament has finished, to the players affected. Players on -3 are subject to going down to -4 and -5 if they keep making the final.

The handicaps for those that played in the 2023 series will be reviewed and, in some cases, amended.

For anyone who did not play in the 2023 series and play an event in the 2024 series will have their handicap given to them.

Payouts and tournament dates further down the article.

There will be seven events and a grand finals day as well at the end of the year. The grand finals will be free to all those that qualify and will be limited to a set number as set out in the below information.

·        Must play in at least three events to qualify for the grand finals.

·        The first 8 players, if 16 players play at least 3 events, the first 12 players if 20 players play at least 3 events, 16 players if 24 or more players play at least 3 events on the rankings list after the final event will qualify.

·        In the event any player who qualifies is on the same ranking points, then this will be based on the number of events played, then their tournament average finishes. If still level, then based on win percentage on games played. If still level after this, then the player with the best event finish with the most players entered.

·        In the event any player who has qualified cannot make the grand finals date, then the player who they would have faced will get a bye.

·        The grand finals will be seeded players 1 to 8 (12 or 16) based on the rankings after the last event.

·        Money added to grand finals from each event’s entry fee.

·        The full prize money amount confirmed after the final event.

·        All the series events will be double elimination up to the knockout stage.
